The Department provides structured undergraduate teaching to student nurses of the Trinity College Dublin School of Nursing.
Structured Nursing Post-graduate education is also delivered in the department in conjunction with Trinity College Dublin School of Nursing consisting of a
- Modular Programme in the Fundamental Principles of
Perioperative Nursing which has NMBI Category 1 approval
- MSc Programme in Perioperative Nursing Fetac Level 5 Theatre
Module for Healthcare Assistants is delivered in the Department in conjunction with the Centre for Learning & Development in Tallaght University Hospital.
Weekly in-service education is provided within the department to develop the knowledge skills of theatre staff to ensure holistic care is delivered to surgical patients.
