The establishment of Clinical Skills Laboratories
(http://www.medicine.tcd.ie/clinical-skills/) at the Trinity Centre for Health Sciences at Tallaght University Hospital enables students to develop and practice essential skills in a simulated clinical setting and provides opportunities for early clinical contact. The School of Medicine runs clinical skills labs for 2
nd, 3
rd and final medical students, to ensure that they have appropriate, phased early patient contact to acquire sufficient clinical knowledge and skills to assume supervised clinical responsibilities on graduation.
