Including hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodule(s), euthyroid and toxic (multi)nodular thyroid disease, rare thyroid disease, thyroid eye disease and referrals for non-surgical management of thyroid nodules on behalf of wider thyroid multidisciplinary service.

Education & Experience

Dr Anne McGowan completed her higher specialist training in Endocrinology and general internal medicine in Dublin. During this time, she completed her MD in Tallaght University Hospital and Trinity College Dublin characterising aspects of HDL metabolism in individuals with both type 1 diabetes mellitus and hypothyroidism.  On completion of higher specialist training, she was awarded funding to complete a fellowship in thyroid medicine in Addenbrooke’s Hospital and the Institute of Metabolic Science in the University of Cambridge. She returned to Ireland in 2019 to take up a full time post as Consultant Endocrinologist in Tallaght University Hospital.
