Education & Experience Dr. Cullen is a graduate of University College Galway Medical School. He was conferred with MRCPI in 1994. He is currently  is a Consultant in General Internal and Respiratory Medicine in the Medical Short Stay Unit (MSSU) in Tallaght University Hospital, as well as Clinical Senior Lecturer in Respiratory Medicine in Trinity College Dublin.

Achievements He was instrumental in the implementation of the Acute Medicine Programme in the Hospital, including establishment of the Acute Medical Unit (AMU1). He is the Medical Lead on the Tallaght University Hospital Emergency Response System Steering and Governance Groups, and was a key player in the introduction of the Emergency Response System, including the National Early Warning Score, in the Hospital.
