Education & ExperienceEducation & Experience Medical Graduate of Trinity College Dublin, 1988 Fellow Royal College of Pathologists (London) 1995 Fellow, Faculty of Pathology, Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (FFPath RCPI) 1998 Dr. Jeffers graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1988, and subsequently trained in Histopathology in University Teaching Hospitals in Dublin. He completed his specialist training in Glasgow and was awarded FRCPath (London) in 1995. Dr Jeffers was appointed Consultant Histopathologist / Cytopathologist at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in 1996 where he worked until 1997 when he was appointed as Consultant Histopathologist / Cytopathologist at the Adelaide & Meath Hospital, Dublin, first in a commissioning role for the new laboratory and subsequently responsible for provision of the Histopathology and Cytopathology service. He has served on the Board of the Faculty of Pathology, RCPI and on the Medical Advisory Committee of the Irish National Accreditation Board (INAB). He is currently Clinical Director for Laboratories at Tallaght University Hospital. His special interests include non-gynaecologic cytology and haematopathology. |
