Achievements

Mr. Molony is a subspecialist Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon.  He has a tertiary referral practice for complex shoulder and elbow conditions and has a particular interest in traumatic elbow problems. Mr Molony also performs primary hip and knee arthroplasty and manages general appendicular trauma.

He has published and presented nationally and internationally on shoulder and elbow conditions and other aspects of trauma and orthopaedic surgery.  He has won several post graduate prizes and has an active clinical research portfolio focussing on shoulder and elbow conditions.

Mr Molony is a past president of the Irish Orthopaedic Trainees Association and remains involved in postgraduate orthopaedic education. He has convened several higher surgical training core curriculum sessions and has been on faculty for both national and international courses on trauma & orthopaedic and shoulder surgery.
