Post anaesthetic care Unit is designed to accommodate post-operative patients requiring short term ventilation and/or inotropic/pressor support. This includes elective and non-elective high risk surgical patients who can benefit from detailed observation and monitoring that cannot be provided on a general ward.
PACU also accommodates unplanned critically ill medical or surgical patients requiring intensive care or high dependency care for whom there is no bed available in the intensive care unit.
Visiting hours is 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Rest time is from 10pm to 6am
