ABOUT US
The Department of General & Vascular Surgery provides clinical care, research and teaching in the subspecialities of vascular, colorectal and upper gastrointestinal & hepatopancreatobiliary surgery. Elective surgical care (outpatient, inpatient and day surgery) and emergency surgical care are provided to the local population and to patients from all over Ireland referred for access to specific expertise available in our unit.
Our surgical department is a leader in the field of minimally invasive surgery in benign, malignant and non cancer surgery. In the last decade, we have become amongst the busiest departments including Laparoscopic Upper (including HPB) and Lower Gastrointestinal surgery, General and Endovascular surgery.
