The majority of patients who require graded Elastic Compression Stockings will be measured at the clinic. One pair will be supplied and a prescription for further pairs will be given before discharge. The stockings need to be replaced every three months if washed carefully used according to manufacturers instructions.

In a small minority of patients, standard off the shelf hosiery will not fit and made to measure stockings must be ordered. You will be measured and the arrangements made to seek sanction of payment for the made to measure stockings (which are otherwise quite costly). A standard order form is used for these and this can be downloaded here.
