The directory of services listed below are free/low cost mental health, suicide prevention supports and services delivered and facilitated by non governmental organisations (NGOs) with support from the HSE.

Aware LogoAware - provide a range of support, education and information services for adults experiencing depression or bipolar disorder. Their support is also for people who are concerned for someone who is affected.

This service is for anyone over the age of 18 who is affected by depression, bipolar disorder and related mood conditions. This is a free / no cost service.

MyMind logoMyMind - offer a fast, affordable access to qualified, accredited / pre-accredited counsellors and psychotherapists in over 20 languages. The service is for young people and adults who are looking for support with mild to moderate mental health difficulties including anxiety, stress, depression, relationship issues, sexuality and trauma. 

Note: There is a standard fee of €60 or €30 subsidised fee for students, retired, unemployed or those working part-time.

Pieta LogoPieta - provides services supporting those experiencing suicidal ideation, self-harming and those bereaved by suicide. They are available 24x7 on the helpline and also provide a counselling service. Call: 1800 247 247 Helpline 24x7

Shine LogoShine - Provide support for people with experience of mental illness and for their family, those that are supporting them. Samaratins LogoSamaritans - A 24x7 hour emotional support helpline for anyone going through a difficult time. Trained volunteers answer calls from people who needs to speak to someone if they are lonely, struggling to cope with work, family, finances and from those with mental health issues. Call: 116 223

Suicide or Survive Logo Suicide or Survive Eden Programme - This is an educational programme with a therapeutic element for people who have attempted or thought about suicide. The programme runs one morning a week for 26 weeks. The service is free and tailored for those over the age of 18. Call: 01 272 2158
