(June 28th 2024) Tallaght University Hospital has announced a further easing of visiting restrictions for patients, with the exception of the following wards Webb and Burkitt Wards. The Hospital will continue to facilitate visits to these wards on compassionate grounds and will continue with the patient care package service until visiting can resume.
Commenting on the easing of visiting restrictions, Deputy CEO John Kelly commented: “We know the visiting restrictions have been difficult for patients and their loved ones and are pleased that we can lift further restrictions today. We continue to monitor the situation on a daily basis with a view to keeping patients, their loved ones and staff safe. I hope the community will continue to support us and ensure they follow the visiting guidelines.
Visiting to the Hospital is from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. We would like to remind visitors of the importance of cleaning their hands as they arrive in the Hospital, onto the ward and as they leave. If you have any cold / flu / COVID symptoms or vomiting or diarrhoea postpone the visit. This is in the best interest of the health of your loved one, all other patients and the staff caring for them.
